Natalia Ciriaco is an art teacher and fine artist in Newark, Delaware. Even though she grew up on a 20 acre farm in Maryland surrounded by the beauty of nature, she fell in love with the college town of Newark, De. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Art/Art Education. In 2007, she also graduated from UD with a Masters of Instruction. Natalia was also named Art Teacher of the Year in Delaware in 2015. She has a wonderful husband, 3 kids that keep her busy, and a house filled with artwork and color. She has been teaching art for 21 years and she loves seeing the excitement on her students faces when they enter the art room. Kids need art to be able to express themselves, to be creative, and to be happy. She has a love for art in and outside of the classroom. Not only does she want to share her passion for the arts in the classroom, but she wants to share it with the world.
Natalia’s love of art started when she was living in London, England as a teenager. She attended the American School of London, which was the best experience of her life. Her art teacher, Ms. Guest, was a caring and happy teacher who introduced her to the amazing art in Europe. She was able to travel to many countries while in Europe and experience the amazing art overseas. Not only is she a teacher, but she is an artist who uses bold colors to express herself. She loves to mix colors which shows her thick brush strokes. She sees the beauty in all things. She would love to paint a part of your world, whether it be a landscape, a sunset, or a photo from your vacation. Natalia’s favorite mediums to work in are acrylic paints, clay, and creating mosaics from tile and glass. Her favorite subjects to paint are landscapes and seascapes. She looks forward to hearing from you and having the opportunity to paint your world.
